David Morgan, President of the Multicultural Media Correspondents Association, spoke with the Black Information Network’s Vanessa Tyler about the importance of media diversity and its economic, social, and political implications.
The Multicultural Media & Correspondents Association (MMCA) is a growing group of Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) media stakeholders, advocates, and allies committed to increasing content, ownership, impact, and control of our stories and how they are told. The key pillars of their effort are coalition building, awareness and advocacy, constructive engagement, stakeholder assistance, and honoring BIPOC media excellence.
