Rodericka Applewhaite, White House Director of Black Media, spoke with BIN’s Andrea Coleman about the mission of the office to offer access to Black media access to issues of importance to the Black community. Applewhaite says that it is important to uplift Black journalists and that President Biden has been committed to policies serving Black Americans and ensuring diversity in his White House staff and Administration.
