Former Georgia Senate candidate Herschel Walker made an astonishing blunder while trying to introduce his longtime "friend" Donald Trump at a rally.

On Sunday (November 3), Walker appeared at Trump's rally in Macon, Georgia amid the former president's efforts to garner more supporters in the battleground state ahead of Tuesday's (November 5) election.

Walker gave a five-minute speech where he highlighted his decades-long friendship with Trump and encouraged Georgians to vote for the Republican nominee. However, the former Senate candidate stumbled over his words and incorrectly presented the former president as “Donald Trump Jr.” and later “Jonald J. Trump" during his remarks.

“It is not time for us to sit on the sideline anymore. Because when you see what they’re doing to this country you says, ‘It’s a darn shame’,” Walker said. “And it is time for it to stop and it stop on Tuesday when we get to the polls and we vote for my friend and your friend, Donald Trump Jr.”

Following the blunder, Walker appeared to correct himself, saying "Donald Trump," before again making another gaffe while trying to add his middle initial.

“Jonald J. Trump,” Walker said before walking away from the podium.

Despite the mistake, rallygoers cheered for Trump's appearance.

Trump and Walker reportedly met in the 1980s when Walker joined the United States Football League and played for the New Jersey Generals, which the GOP nominee later owned. Trump endorsed Walker's unsuccessful and controversy-filled bid for Senate during the 2022 midterms.

During Sunday's rally, Trump hinted at giving Walker a position in his administration, saying the former football player could be in charge of a “missile defense shield” he plans to build.
